Week 101 - Highlands Ranch

Hello Everyone,

This was a good week.

Tuesday July 12:
I started the morning off with a doctors appointment for my arm. I dont need surgery luckily and might do something called bone stimulation. It includes putting my arm into a machine that using magnetic fields to help with circulation of the blood to heal it faster. I am out of the sling as well. When they took the cast off I didn't feel any better, but the x-rays show a lot of healing going on so that is good.

I just started being able to write so I don't remember a lot of what happened this week except that it was busy.

We had a lot of set up appointments We  had a few lessons with Catherine. She is getting ready for baptism and just needs permission from her parents. She is actually going to be playing the flute during sacrament meeting when I sing Come Come Ye Saints.

I went on exchanges this week on Wednesday. I was a great day because We were running from place to place, which is always fun. I was with Elder Linde who is a great missionary.

It has been going better with Elder Robinson. He wants to work, but has his spurts of Trunkiness. He is actually funny though.

I have noticed that my trunkiness has gone down significantly after the crash. I was stuck inside for 2 weeks and now I just want to work.

Other than that it has been a simple missionary week.

I hope you all have a great week as well.

Till next time,
Elder Dallin S Pulsipher

Also I have one month left as of yesterday. That is an odd feeling

Week 100 - Highlands Ranch

Hello everyone,

This was a good week. There were ups and downs but overall it was good.

Wednesday July 6: Happy Birthday Julianne!
We had an interesting day of walking. Our area is huge and takes a long time to get anywhere, so we decided to spend most of our day in one area. By the end of it I was wiped out. Since the injury I have had no energy. However it was nice to get out and work. We did have a lesson with a Caytherine. She is embracing the gospel really well and has read the Book of Mormon  through once with three notebooks.

Thursday July 7:
We started the morning with a district meeting. It went well. We luckily had a lot of appointments that day and got rides to them. They are teaching a lot more people since I have been here. That night we taught a Nepalese Family (Nepal). They fed us some food, which did not sit well, but was good. It is a young couple and his parents. He translated our lesson with his parents and I had a conversation with the father in broken English that I was surprised I understood.

Friday July 8:
I was not feeling well the first part of the day and then my companion wasnt feeling well the second part. So it was a slow day.

Saturday July 9:
Elder Robinson wasnt feeling very well all day long, so I ended up helping the Palmer's, whom we live with, with some yard work. It was interesting using one arm with limited weight. The Palmer's are extremely nice and treat us like family. We also have a big basement to live in. They also have a dog named Chance who comes downstairs sometimes. He is a lot of fun. She is a doctor, Which is helpful, and the family has done a lot.

Sunday July 10:
It was a good day. I unexpectedly taught a lesson on tithing. The wards have also changed a lot, however I got to see some people I missed. I also found out one of the missionaries out from the northridge ward is staying in the same place I am. They are one of my favorite families. We had dinner with the Price family and Catherine. We then went to mission prep class where we did a demonstration with Catherine.

So it was a good week. I am doing much better. I am a lot happier and am excited to be here. Tomorrow morning I see what they are going to do with my arm. I will let you know what it is through the Palmers.

Till next time,

Week 99 - Highlands Ranch

Daniel's Baptism
Hello everyone,

This was an interesting week.

First of all Daniel got baptized. The baptism was amazing. He just glowed afterwards, which you see a lot with people after they are baptized. There were a lot of people there and the room was packed. We almost had to use the chapel, which was our goal.

The 4th of July was great. We did soccer in the morning, which meant I was the referee. I don't know how to ref so I just gave people random colored cards for doing certain things, such as kicking it far away is a green card. That night we did fireworks at the Bury's. They had some good stuff and some YSA trying to see all the cool things they can do with fireworks. People have been shooting off fireworks for the last 5 nights. Not just ground ones but huge airborne ones. It was 4th of July weekend pretty much.

I got transferred and so did elder armistead which was a shock. Basically A lot of changes have happened in the mission because we got a new mission president. President and Sister Gifford. They are amazing and seem to be extremely prepared.

I wasn't entirely happy with my changes though. I am now in a Falcon Park and Northridge, Which is the last area I served in Highlands Ranch.
The Murrays

It is very difficult, I'm with a challenging companion and I am on foot. I go home with this elder so the area is going to be whitewashed at the end of the transfer. This is not what I was told would happen, but that is what I got, so i might as well make the best out of it.

So that was my week. I am glad I am so close to my previous area, because I loved it. We have some new missionaries in the zone and some great ones so that should be great.

Anyways, I  will see you in 6 weeks.
